Greetings! I am happy to say that my painting “Cappuccino for Two” was accepted into the Emerald Art Center‘s 16th Annual Emerald Spring Exhibition. To elaborate, this is a national juried painting exhibition held in Springfield, Oregon. And, I would like to extend my thanks to Juror Mr. Jim Daly for selecting my painting.
Exhibition & Gallery Information.
The exhibition dates are May 3rd through June 3rd, 2022. And, you may see the show during gallery hours which are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. Also, on Fridays, the gallery is open until 7pm. The Emerald Art Center is located at 500 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon. I would like to highlight that the The Judge’s Critique and Artist’s Award Presentation is on Saturday, May 7th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Artist’s Statement.
I would like to share with you my thoughts about this painting.
This painting is about enjoying a moment with family or friends. And, it’s about having a nice, warm cup of cappuccino together. To show that this is a special moment, I organized the painting using the “Golden Ratio“, which is thought to be pleasing to the eye. Hence, the golden milk pitcher with the “golden spiral” as handle.
